Flawless Sabrina
FX provided multiple detailed illustrations of historical figures who fought for and spoke up for the rights of the LGBTQIA community in their respective time periods. Flawless Sabrina was a well-known activist, a Mother, and a drag queen in New York City from the 1970s to her passing in 2017.
Challenge
Animate Flawless Sabrina artwork and create animated text for the quote in a style representative of the time period.
Custom Emoji for Social Campaign
Challenge
Explore and create a custom emoji to be used in captions along with #PrideFX across social media platforms.
Exploration
Reseached emojis from both iPhone and Android that would work well with the Progress Pride flag and made sense to use. Both 3D and flat emojis were explored.
Torso Key Art
FX provided the working files for the torso photos and the key art for this project.
Challenge
Bring the files to life using animation.
Process
The flash of colors behind each torso is meant to represent how each decade is part of the same story in fighting for the rights of the LGBTQIA community. Each decade has a unique visual effect applied that either plays with the visual elements of the font or was inspired by the time period it represents.
